Peak season: Tenerife has two peak seasons: December to February is a popular time for older tourists to book flights to Tenerife, a time when there are very few large families with children on holiday. May to October are also peak seasons, families and young people prefer to visit Tenerife whilst the weather is at its warmest.
Off season: March, April and November tend to be the off season months for flights to Tenerife, so you are more likely to find cheap flights to Tenerife during this period and enjoy a quieter holiday. When it comes to the weather, there is never really a bad time to fly out and visit Tenerife, as it’s warm all year round.

With one runway, TFN is the airport that connects flights with all of the Canary Islands. Distance to the city centre is 8 miles (13km) to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Buses: the bus service runs from Tenerife North Airport to the capital of Santa Cruz every 30 minutes throughout the day on route 102. The same service also runs to Puerto de la Cruz every 30 minutes during the day.
Getting between terminals: There is only one terminal at Tenerife North and it broadly serves domestic flights. You can catch a taxi to Tenerife South Airport for roughly €100 and the public bus for as little as €10. It is approximately €15 for a Bonovia (Bono) discount ticket.
Hints and tips
The Bonovia is a discount ticket for use on the bus around Tenerife. You can also use it to access the airport in the south and can pay in cash on the bus when the credit runs out
