Peak Season:
June till August beckon many vacationers to plan a visit to Pula, with their sunny days, plenty of peninsula activities, and the balmy nightlife. With so much to do here, and so many ways to enjoy the weather, it’s easy to see why most tourists visit Pula in the heat.
Off-peak Season:
Although the springtime boasts gorgeous temperatures in the 20s, it unfortunately is also the time of year that calls for the most rain. While you’ll need to bring an umbrella, you can rest easy knowing that cheap flights to Pula are much more accessible during this off season period.

Paying for coffee on a Swiss flight of approx 3hrs. I would’ve expected, that Ryan Air charges….or maybe a charter flight. But 4CHF for a cup of coffee is just another reason, that Swiss (and subsequently LH Group) has lost touch with frequent travellers by a landslide.

Croatia is a scintillating country, blessed with attractive beaches, intriguing history, and thriving culture. No trip to Pula is complete without seeing the ancient, most significant parts of the country’s core, in the form of churches, squares, and museums. Once known as Ancient Polensium, Pula has now developed reputation as the regional centre of Croatia, and the home of its most popular and sacred Roman ruins. Its striking amphitheatre beckons music fans to experience a live concert in an entirely different and incredibly rewarding setting. The Premantura Peninsula – just south of the city – will have you strolling dreamily down the rocky bays and coves that hold some of nature’s most divine sights. The commercial life here isn’t lost upon its antiquity, either. Nightlife, restaurants, and cultural activity buzz through every corner and square of this pretty palace of a city. The people, the stories, and the past all don Pula with a comfortable, small town feel, with a big-city edge on exposure.
If you book flights to Pula in the summer time, between late May and August, you’ll be welcomed by hot, dry weather, with temperatures resting in the mid-20s, and rainfall rarely making an appearance. Months of December till February are dry as well, but temperatures drop to around 4 degrees and cool things down a bit. The most rain, however, comes in October and November, when the transition between summer and winter is at its peak, and showers pepper the 15 degree weather. Spring months of April and May warm things up a bit, bringing temperatures to the 20s, but manage to stay relatively dry.
There is a shuttle bus at the airport, which can take you to the main station in Pula. You can pre-book your tickets online. Of course you can always take a taxi from the airport, but it will be more expensive.
Flights to Pula land at Pula International Airport (PUY).
